Shift Happens!
The DigiTech Whammy Pedal has been a staple in the DigiTech lineup since the late ’80s, popularized by artists such as Tom Morello, Steve Vai, Jack White, and many others. Many versions have been released since the original Whammy 1, and we are proud to introduce the very first Artist Signature Whammy Pedal: The MonoNeon Signature Whammy Pedal, our most expressive Whammy pedal yet!
Although MonoNeon is primarily a bassist, this Whammy pedal is designed for both guitar and bass players. We’ve added new features beyond just a stunning paint job. One notable addition is a new setting called “Hypersonic,” which allows the user to raise the pitch of their guitar or bass by three octaves! This feature enables players to explore a new sonic range for stratospheric lead playing.
Don’t worry—your favorite settings are still included in this version of the Whammy including: 2 octaves up, 1 octave up, 2nd up – 5th up, 2nd down – 5th down, 1 octave down, and the very popular “Divebomb.” Plus, the Harmony section is also included in the new MonoNeon Signature Whammy Pedal.
Other new features include an Octaves section, this is particularly exciting, as players can now shift between octave overtones using the treadle, making it an incredibly expressive octaver pedal!
Here are the settings for the Octave section:
1. Original signal blended with 1 to 2 octaves up.
2. Original signal blended with an octave down to an octave up.
3. Original signal blended with 2 octaves down to 1 octave down.

As if that’s not enough, we have introduced a newly designed Detune section that sounds incredibly rich for both guitar and bass players. The MonoNeon Signature Whammy features a Neon Orange and Neon Yellow paint job to make it stand out, one of our favorites things about the paint is if you put it under black lights on stage, then when the performance starts the neon pedal glows!
MonoNeon loves to decorate everything with Gaffer tape, including his bass and pedals. To embrace this creativity, we’ve included Neon colored Gaffer tapes and a mini-Sharpie in the box of the MonoNeon Signature Whammy Pedal, so you can “Gaff Up” and create your own personalized sayings on your gear. Be sure to tag us in your posts using #digitechfx and #gaffup alongside a photo of your MonoNeon Whammy Pedal featuring your favorite Gaffer tape creation!
